Forest Schools
Our forest school practitioner delivers outdoor, engaging, creative sessions in purpose-built forests. Forest schools can help engage pupils who often struggle in classroom settings to excel in an outdoor environment.
Forest school activities involve building a fire and cooking food over it (e.g. popcorn, marshmallows), forest art/crafts, den building, outdoor learning (seasons, bug hunting, habitat building).
We can set up forest areas on school site or bring children to Hamstead Hall Academy.
Costings
We recommend forest schools sessions to involve a maximum of 15 children. For classes of 30 children, we recommend 15 do forest schools, and 15 doing team building with the forest schools assistant.
The forest school team aim to tailor the structure and duration of activities to the needs of the school, but recommend sessions last a minimum of 1 hour.
Sessions can be set up for the team to come once a week to school to ensure every class benefit from the activities. Individual 1-day workshops can also be arranged at the Hamstead Hall Academy Site.
