Pleasing A-Level Results 2019

Hamstead Hall Academy is delighted to announce that so many of our students have achieved well in their A-Level results today.  All our students achieved A*-E grades with nearly half achieving A*-B in at least one subject.  The results at Hamstead Hall match up very well with previous years.  Congratulations to all our Year 13 students.  This year, nearly a quarter of our students’ grades were awarded at A*, A or B across all subjects at Hamstead Hall Academy and these results represent strong achievement from our students.  Alongside our A-Level results, there were some exceptional outcomes in our BTEC subjects with around 40% of grades at a Distinction level.  This is a growing area at Hamstead Hall Sixth Form as we increase our vocational offer to supplement our A-Level offer.

Executive Principals, Jonathan Mortimer and Sukhbir Farar stated, “Students this year have completed the new reformed A-Level courses in most subjects which are considered by the government to be more rigorous and challenging but our students and staff have risen to the challenge.  We are really proud of our students and delighted that nearly all of them have secured their first-choice places at university.  We wish them all the best as they enter the next phase of their lives.  These results are a testament to the hard work from staff and students and supportive parents.”

A special mention goes to a student in Year 12 who has achieved an A* with an exceptionally high score in A-Level Maths, a year early.  We are still able to take applications to enrol at our Sixth Form for September 2019 and look forward to many new students joining us.
